About Me

Hello! This is my 20th year teaching in the Issaquah School District. Most of my teaching experience has been in the primary grades-specifically, Kindergarten and First Grade. I earned my Bachelor's Degree, as well as my Master's Degree (Elementary Education, K-8), from the University of Washington. I have lived in the Seattle area all my life and currently live in the south Seattle neighborhood of Columbia City with my husband, James and our two cats, Carl and Carmella. In my free time I love to travel, read, watch movies, go to concerts, and drink really good coffee. 

I love teaching and believe that I am a successful teacher because I truly enjoy working with primary-age children. Teaching is a wonderfully creative job, and I feel fortunate to be a nurturing influence in my students' lives. I look forward to working with your child (and you!) this school year!
